我们在破坏地球妈妈，然而被我们破坏的地方很多，比如：将垃圾随地乱扔;随地扔果皮纸屑，随地吐痰;排放工业污水到河流里，(就比如我们的母亲河：温瑞塘河如今已臭得熏天了);我们小孩把只用过一面的纸，还没用完就扔了;洗碗时，碗虽洗好了，但水龙头仍在那一直放着，没有关紧，这是在浪费水，珍惜一滴水，就可以让一位难民喝到一口水……
对于保护地球，我提出以下几个建议：
1.节约用水。为珍惜水资源，不让水龙头空流，缩短淋浴时间;安装节水龙头;用节水型抽水马桶。
2.节约用电。尽量少使用电器，随手关灯。随时关紧电冰箱的门;使用节能灯具;购买高效低能耗电器。
3.节约用纸。纸浆需求量的猛增是木材消费增长原因之一。全国年造纸消耗木材1000万立方米，进口木浆130万吨，进口纸张的大量消费不仅造成森林毁坏，而且因生产纸浆排放污水江河湖泊受到严重污染(造纸行业所造成的污染占整个水域的百分之三十以上)，用过一面的纸可以翻过来做草稿纸，便条纸，或自制成笔记本使用;过期的挂历可以包书皮。
4.废物利用。如：糖纸可折成灯饰或门帘;旧衣服可做成拖把等等，支持和参与废纸、废玻璃、废塑料和废金属的回收利用。
